COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The first part of a two-part project to widen Rock Prairie Road in College Station has now reached its second phase.
According to the city, the Rock Prairie-Medical Avenue and Rock Prairie-Bird Pond Road intersections will open on Monday, Aug. 26. Traffic will be down to one lane temporarily during this time.
That same day, the second phase of the project will go into effect. The second phase will see part of Rock Prairie Road from Stonebrook Drive to Medical Avenue closed.
The city says the closure is expected to last about two months.
