Woman charged with using a deadly weapon, allegedly stabbed man in the face several times with hair pick

The man suffered stab wounds near his eyes, on his face and his neck after the attack. The woman told police she was tired of being verbally abused.

Rosa Regmund, 68, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She's accused of attacking a man with a hair pick and stabbing him several times in the face, neck and head.

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — A woman has been arrested after Brazos County deputies said she attacked a man with a hair pick and tried to stab him in the eyes.

Rosa Regmund, 68, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She told police she attacked the man, but she did it because she was tired of being verbally abused.

It happened just after midnight on Elmo Weedon Road. Deputies were dispatched to the area after a call for help came in with a report of a possible shooting or stabbing. When authorities got to the scene, the found a 51-year-old male with several bloodied injuries to his face, neck and head.

Authorities were able to help Regmund out of the RV after she said she was too weak to come out to talk to them. Regmund admitted to the deputies she did go after the man because she was tired of being verbally abused, according to court documents. The deputies said Regmund did not have any physical injuries, but she did have drops of the victim's blood on her clothing.

Deputies interviewed the male victim, who told them Regmund punched him in the eye and then stabbed him with the plastic hair pick several times in the face and arms. Deputies said the man had several bleeding cuts all over his face, including many around his eyes and near his eye sockets.

At last check, Regmund remained in the Brazos County Jail on $30,000 bond.
