Fire officials investigating cause of devastating apartment fire in Bryan

The American Red Cross is helping several people who lost their homes after the fire broke out early Sunday morning.

BRYAN, Texas — The State Fire Marshal remains on scene of a devastating apartment fire in Bryan that destroyed many people's homes.

It happened on the 1300 block of West Villa Maria Road at the Oaks on Villa Maria apartment complex. Fire crews from Bryan and College Station responded to the call for help and when they arrived on scene, several apartments were engulfed in flames.

Authorities said no one was hurt and everyone who was inside their apartments were able to get out in time. The blaze destroyed several apartments, leaving many people without a place to go. The American Red Cross responded to the scene and is helping people find a place to stay and supplies they need.
