Burn ban issued for Brazos County

The county-wide burn ban will be in effect from through Dec. 23 unless action to extend or shorten the burn ban's duration is decided on.

BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — A burn ban has been issued for Brazos County by the county Commissioners Court.

The ban restricts all outdoor burning except for welding and outdoor cooking, given the individual welding or cooking outside is abiding by conditions set in a burn ban order on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The county-wide burn ban will be in effect from through Dec. 23 unless action to extend or shorten the burn ban's duration is decided on.

Similar to Brazos County, nearby Burleson County announced they would be enacting a burn ban on Monday. To the northwest of Brazos County, other counties like Milam and Robertson have also enacted their own burn bans.
