COLLEGE STATION, Texas — One local hospital network is looking to increase its services and with that, the number of employees.
CHI St. Joseph is holding a nursing fair to bring in more nurses into its hospitals.
“We’re looking to get some experienced RN's with at least one year of experience…bedside nursing department, any area, any service line, we’re encouraging you to come to our fair February 22nd. Just bring your resume and any other information they may want to share with our hiring team,” said nurse recruitment helper Lisa Coligan.
This nursing fair will be an open house with hiring managers across the market. Anyone who is interested in a specific service line will have the opportunity to speak directly with those recruiters and have an on-site interview.
“Just because we are in an interesting market, coming outside of the bigger cities like Houston, Austin and Dallas. We’re definitely looking to expand our experienced nurse team. Any type of compassionate nurse, anybody who can relate to our values as an organization that fits right in. Maybe anybody who’s interested in working for a faith based organization will definitely be somebody who will be a great fit for our team,” said Coligan.
All statuses of nurses are welcome, including full time, part-time, and PRN, a flexible as needed type of position.

“I think that we just really take our values and our mission statement as an organization very seriously, so we want to make sure our patients and our families that come in to CHI St. Joseph, they feel like we’re really living our mission with our patient care,” said Coligan.
CHI St. Joseph also offers a differentiated practice model which is a career progression program where staff will move up in the career ladder based off of their years of experience and education.
The nursing fair is on February 22nd at the College Station hospital from 9 am to 3 pm.
