BRYAN, Texas — A warm weekend in the forecast for the Brazos Valley. High temperatures will climb into the mid-to-upper-60s on Saturday with high temperatures a touch higher on Sunday, climbing into the mid-70s. Morning low temperatures will be in the 40s.
An upper-level trough will dig into the Southwest over the weekend. This trough will eject east by early next week, which will send an Arctic cold front into the area late Monday into early Tuesday. This will drop high temperatures into the 40s & 50s with lows in the 30s. Windchills Tuesday afternoon will fall into the 30s.
A piece of upper-level energy (lift) will remain west of the Brazos Valley on Tuesday. This will place the area in a favorable location for lift up and over the cold airmass through Tuesday. This will lead to cloud cover and precipitation throughout the day on Tuesday.
Below average temperatures will hang around through all of next week with rain chances increasing by the end of the week.
