BRYAN, Texas — Chilly start to Thursday morning with temperatures in the 30s thanks to a surface high pressure over the state of Texas.
This high will scoot off to the east Thursday afternoon, allowing winds to flip around to the southeast, warming temperatures into the low-60s. This is close to average. Despite the southeasterly winds, no precipitation is in the forecast Thursday. Mostly sunny skies are expected.
The weather pattern will be relatively benign over the next few days but a big dip in the jet stream early next week will send a strong cold front into the Brazos Valley. This will spark a few storms for the area and allow for snow to our north in Oklahoma.
