BRYAN, Texas — The well-advertised Arctic cold front has moved through the area ushering in cold temperatures. Cold temperatures will stick around into Wednesday morning with low wind chills. Make sure the kiddos and you have a light jacket because temperatures will fall into the low-to-mid-30s with wind chills in the upper-20s Wednesday morning.
Most importantly, as temperatures fall to near freezing, the precipitation will be well east of the Brazos Valley. This will ensure no wintry precipitation will fall across the area.
Temperatures will remain at or below average over the next few days as another small dip in the jet stream ensures temperatures won't warm too much.
Temperatures will begin to warm to above average values over the weekend. A gradual uptick in Gulf moisture will make its way back into the Brazos Valley on Sunday. This will set the stage for a few late-night showers on Sunday and a few showers & storms Monday as a cold front moves in. A storm system moving ashore this weekend across the Pacific Northwest is what will send the cold front through on Monday.
