BRYAN, Texas — The weekend is shaping up to be relatively nice for the Brazos Valley. A surface high pressure is over the area, which will allow Saturday morning temperatures to fall into the low-40s under clear skies & light winds. A light jacket may be needed if you have any early plans Saturday.
Saturday afternoon will warm into the mid-60s so it will be pleasant outside. Temperatures will be a few degrees below average. Saturday will be the coolest day of the next several days. Sunday's high temperatures will climb into the 70s area-wide.
An upper-level ridge will get a nice 'grip' on the region, which will allow temperatures to soar into the upper-70s & lower-80s next week. There will also be a return of moisture as the high pressure moves to the east. This will allow Gulf moisture to advance north into the Brazos Valley.
Periodic spotty rain chances will enter the forecast beginning late-Sunday but the best rain chances arrive next week.
