BRYAN, Texas — Brazos Valley weather should finally settle down and dry out a bit over the weekend. There's still a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm, but we can expect more sunshine and warmer temperatures.
In fact, the heat index may top 100 degrees during the afternoon, so be sure to stay hydrated and take cooling breaks while spending much time outdoors.
Rain chances could pick up again late Sunday into Monday as a weak cold front approaches. The front is expected to dissipate early next week, and rain chances will decrease again the second half of the week into next weekend.
By then, temperatures could also rise to near normal in the mid 90s, for the first time in two weeks.
