BRYAN, Texas — High pressure is expected to gradually build across Texas over the coming seven to ten days.
That will lead to lower rain chances and higher temperatures with our weather pattern getting closer to what's expected this time of year.
Isolated showers or thunderstorms will still be possible with daytime heating and the sea breeze.
Rain chances should be at 20% or less most days. Temperatures will be in the lower 90s this week but could reach the mid-90s beginning this weekend, and heat index values could be up around 105 degrees.
The tropics are all quiet for the moment. However, we can credit the tropical easterlies for transporting Saharan dust across the Atlantic all the way to Texas. The dust will make the sunshine a bit hazy at times this week and could lead to some colorful sunsets.
