COLLEGE STATION, Texas — With early reports providing a look behind the curtain as to who will join Mike Elko's coaching staff at Texas A&M in 2024, and some more hires being made official, the support staff for the Aggie football team starting to take shape.
Sean Spencer--also known as "Coach Chaos"--will be coaching the defensive line next season, coming in to fill the position vacancy that current interim head coach Elijah Robinson will create once he officially takes a defensive coordinator job offered by Syracuse and incoming head coach Fran Brown.
Additionally, according to 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong, Duke General Manager Derek Miller is set to take up the same role with A&M. Prior to his time at Duke, he worked at East Carolina, Bowling Green, and LSU.
Other forecasted hires include Duke offensive line coach Adam Cushing and cornerbacks coach Ishmael Aristide, according to 247Sports reporter Matt Zenitz. Aristide previously worked with the Aggies as an analyst in 2019 and 2020.
Just recently, KHOU's Matt Musil has also put a report out stating that Elko has extended an offer to Kansas State offensive coordinator Collin Klein. According to Musil, Klein turned down an offer for the same position from Penn State just last week.
