HOUSTON — College football fans are passionate about the teams they love -- and love to hate -- but this list of most hated teams has a few surprises.
The team at BetOnline.ag used trend software and tracked over 210,000 negative tweets over the last 30 days to come up with the top 25 most hated teams.
A couple of Texas powerhouses, the University of Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies, landed in the top 10.
But no team generated more negative tweets than the Colorado Buffaloes led by the colorful and sometimes controversial "Coach Prime," Dion Sanders. The reasons given include the flash QB Shedeur Sanders, the social media posts of Colorado players, reports of native locker room culture and the way Sanders treats the media, including recently barring journalists from his press conferences.

As far as conferences, the SEC far outpaced the competition for most hated teams with 11 out of 25, including its newest members, Texas and Oklahoma.
