COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Sophomore wide receiver Moose Muhammad III has been confirmed as available to play in Texas A&M's upcoming game against UMass by Jimbo Fisher in a press conference on Monday, Nov. 14.
The sophomore was benched from the Aggies' game against Auburn due to wearing arm sleeves--an accessory not allowed by skill position players like Muhammad.
When pressed to elaborate on the situation, head coach Jimbo Fisher declined to comment, saying the situation was an internal issue that was handled, and it's been moved on from.
Following the Aggies' 13-10 loss to Auburn over the weekend, it marked the first time since 2008 that the team didn't qualify for a postseason bowl game. Additionally, it's their first six-game losing streak since 1972.
When it comes to other players returning to the lineup, the picture remains unclear. Fisher declined to comment on any specific injuries and offered a broad "day-to-day" assessment for those who have missed time.
Four true freshmen talents who were suspended indefinitely ahead of the Aggie's loss to Ole Miss remain out for A&M, according to Fisher.
Texas A&M will take the field at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18 against UMass at Kyle Field in their second-to-last game of the regular season. The following Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Aggies will play LSU in the final game at 6 p.m.
