Texas, Tennessee governors make friendly bet over Texas A&M, Tennessee National Championship game

Governor Abbott bet Lone Star Beer and "some of the best BBQ in Texas", while Governor Lee bet Rendezvous Ribs, Jack Daniels and Dollywood tickets.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — As Texas A&M and Tennessee Baseball face off in Omaha for a national championship in the College World Series, there is more on the line than just the title.

Ahead of the game, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Tennessee Governor Bill Lee have placed a friendly wager on the outcome, betting some of the staples of their state.

Abbott challenged Lee to the bet, putting "some of the best BBQ in Texas" and cold Lone Star Beer on the line for the Aggies to beat the Vols in Game 3.

Lee returned the challenge, wagering Rendezvous Ribs, Jack Daniels and tickets to Dollywood.

A&M and Tennessee have each won one game in the championship series so far, being tied at 1-1 going into the final game. Game 3 will determine which team is crowned National Champion.

The game began at 6 p.m. on June 24, to decide not only which team will take home the title, but also which governor will take home the spoils.
