Bryan police find woman dead inside an apartment, arrest man on other charges

Police said they were responding to the scene on a call for help with CPR. When they got to the apartment, the woman had already died.

BRYAN, Texas — Bryan police officers responded to a call for help late Friday night after a report came in about a person not breathing. When they got to the scene, prepared to do CPR, they found a woman in the bedroom of the apartment dead.

It happened just before 6 p.m. on the 2600 block of Pecan Ridge Drive. Responding officers said when they arrived on scene, the person who had called for help was standing outside the apartment. Police said the person who had called for help was also the person who was renting the apartment. The relationship of the person renting the apartment and the woman who was found dead is not known at this time.

According to court documents, a man was arrested at the scene. He was identified as 32-year-old Michael Villa of Bryan. His relationship to the woman is not known at this time. He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and at last check remains in the Brazos County Jail on $5,000 bond.
