GRIMES COUNTY, Texas — UPDATE: April 28, 2020 8:30p.m.
Zuhyr Kahleem, 21, of Katy, has been missing since April 27, 2019. On Tuesday, several law enforcement agencies were investigating a set of remains found on a Grimes County property a few miles from the Texas Renaissance Festival grounds. They believe Kahleem has officially been found and four people have been charged in connection to his death.
According to Harris County Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez, they arrested 21-year-old Austin Walker of Hockley and 21-year-old Jose Varela on April 25. Harris County authorities, the Texas Rangers and investigators with the Grimes County Sheriff's Office went to a property near Loblolly Lane just off of Finke Road in Grimes County and found remains believed to be that of Kahleem.
According to court documents obtained by KAGS News and our sister station, KHOU of Houston, Walker and Varela have been charged with Capital Murder in the killing of Kahleem. A third man, Eric Aguilar, is also expected to be charged with Capital Murder in this case, however, there are no court documents filed on him at this time.
Gannon Gotlieb, whose property the remains were found on, is charged with tampering with evidence and a human body in connection to this case.
According to court documents, Walker and Varela are accused of shooting Kahleem while trying to rob him. The two are expected back in court in Harris County on April 30.

According to Harris County Sheriff, Ed Gonzalez, remains were recovered in Grimes County possibly linked to a missing persons case that originated in Harris County one year ago yesterday, stated in a tweet.
The identity is believed to be 21-year-old Zuhyr Kahleem. He was last seen on April 27, 2019. A forensic investigation is pending to determine the identity.
Three males have been arrested and charged with Capital Murder, according to a tweet from Gonzalez; Jose Varela, Austin Walker and Eric Aguilar. In Grimes County, a Gannon Gotlieb was charged with Tampering with Evidence/Human Body.
