CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas A&M-Kingsville celebrated a milestone over the weekend as university and community leaders, alumni and current students turned the page on their centennial year.
The Javelina Nation is looking back at their historic journey--- one they say began with a vision sparked by a community that believed in the power of education.
Now-- the university is inviting past alumni to head to their Facebook page to leave a comment about their favorite memory as a Javelina and be part of their Day of Giving.
Leaders released a video full of pictures and testimonials paying tribute to the role the college-- which they say is the first university in South Texas-- plays in the community. The college's humble beginnings are mentioned, citing their values of 'growth, resiliency and unwavering dedication' to the city of Kingsville and those who pursue their education there.
You can participate in the Day of Giving fundraiser now through Tuesday at 1 a.m.
