COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The Texas A&M Wind Symphony is set to head abroad in 2024 to perform in three cities in Spain.

From May 13 to May 24 next year, the group will perform three concerts in Madrid, Granada, and Ronda in Spain. It is the first time the A&M Wind Symphony will have travelled to Spain to perform.

"The tour proves that music is an international language that brings people together and allows us to showcase the talent of Texas A&M student musicians in an international setting," said Dr. Tim Rhea, Director of Bands and Music Activities on Texas A&M Today.

According to Rhea, the group was excited at the announcement, and was "ready to go to the airport tomorrow if they had to."

For some members, it's also their first time travelling abroad.

"This will be my first time traveling internationally," said Brendan Neal '24 on Texas A&M Today. "I am even more excited to travel alongside my peers that I have had the opportunity to play with for the last three years."

If you would like to donate to the Wind Symphony's travel fund for their May 2024 trip, you can do so by going to the Texas A&M Foundation here and selecting the Wind Symphony World Tour Travel Fund.
