Texas A&M's Parsons Mounted Cavalry prepares for busy spring semester across the Lone Star State

The planned 1500 miles of travel is the most that the unit will have traveled in one season.

Texas A&M University’s Parsons Mounted Cavalry will participate in a number of events across the state this spring.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas A&M's Parsons Mounted Cavalry is set to break a record this upcoming spring semester.

The unit, which consists of 86 Corps of Cadets members and 70 horses and mules, has planned seven appearances at many different events across the Lone Star State, starting on Jan. 18. In total, Parsons Mounted Cavalry will travel over 1500 miles, a new record for a single season.
