BRYAN, Texas -- A suspect from a recent robbery turned fatal is now being charged with another robbery that left a clerk wounded.
Police served an arrest warrant on Rufus Lockett, in jail Thursday, in connection with a robbery at the Apple Stop convenience store in Bryan on December 3.
A clerk was wounded in the robbery and taken to an area hospital.
Police were originally looking for two persons of interest in connection to the Apple Stop robbery. There is no word on a second suspect.
Lockett was arrested earlier this week for shooting and killing Anita Jean Randle, 54, a clerk at the Valero gas station on Rock Prairie road in College Station. Police say Lockett shot Randle when she told him she could not give him money.
Lockett is currently in the Brazos County Jail.
