Roberston County lifts burn ban

The ban prohibited outdoor burning in the county for 90 days.

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Texas — UPDATE: 9-8-20

The Robertson County Comissioners' Court has voted to rescind the burn ban in unincorporated areas of Robertson County effective Tuesday September 8, 2020.

Robertson County Judge Charles Ellison has issued a burn ban for the county, citing drought conditions in the area.

The burn ban comes as the Brazos Valley has been facing heat warnings and advisories throughout the week. The ban prohibits outdoor burning in the county for 90 days. Any non-compliance will be punishable by a fine up to 500 dollars.
