IOLA, Grimes County — A missing 76-year-old Grimes County woman has been found safe after a Silver Alert was issued on Friday, Aug. 30, according to the Amber Alert Network of the Brazos Valley (AANBV).
AANBV said a statewide Silver Alert was issued for 76-year-old Lillie Mata Barfield, who had been last seen on Thursday, Aug. 29 in Iola.
AANBV later announced that Barfield had been found safe in Ellis County on Aug. 30, 120 miles from where she went missing.
