LEON COUNTY, Texas — Early Monday morning, a fire broke out at a home in Leon County near Highway 79.
The fire was reported shortly before 3 a.m., with the scene being cleared just three hours later, shortly before 6 a.m.
Leon County Emergency Management says the home was completely destroyed, but four dogs were unable to be saved. The residents were able to make it out safely, but were taken to a local hospital with respiratory problems.
