COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Former College Station mayor Ben White passed away on Sunday at the age of 87, according to the City of College Station.
White, who was born on April 20, 1936, was the mayor of College Station from 2007 to 2010, and prior to his term as mayor served on the city council from 2005 to 2007. He was also involved in the community for many years in different aspects.
The former mayor passed away at Baylor Scott & White Hospital, and previously battled pancreatic and lung cancer.
