Demolition to begin on building in Historic Central Business District in Navasota

The building is being demolished due to much of its structure being collapsed and unrepairable.

NAVASOTA, Texas — The City of Navasota is set to demolish a building in the Historic Central Business District at the corner of Holland Street and Farquhar Street due to it becoming uninhabitable and unrepairable.

The building that will be torn down had multiple collapsed interior walls and a large portion of the roof missing.

While an exact start date was not given, demolition is set to begin this week. The work on the building will take place within a fenced area.
