College Station police identified an apartment shooter

Police said Keynaedrick Wheaton, 24, fired one shot into a vehicle as two people were trying to drive away.

BRYAN, Texas — Update 06-14 

Police have now identified 24-year-old, Keynaedrick Wheaton as the person who was shooting at the Vintage apartments.  Wheaton bond is set at $150,000.

Authorities said, Wheaton started firing their gun at the car, while they were trying to drive away. Police said he has been with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to CSPD The victims were shot, and were taken to St. Joseph Hospital in College Station but ended up crashing their car into the emergency room entrance. The person driving the car had an eye injury from broken glass.

One person was arrested and another was injured following an apartment shooting during a drug exchange in College Station Monday, according to the College Station Police Department.

Police were called to Vintage at College Station apartments at 1101 Southwest Parkway around 1:44 p.m.

While investigating, police learned a person was attempting to buy drugs and a robbery took place, they said. The person started firing their gun at the car they were attempting to buy drugs from, police added.

One person was injured and taken to Joseph Hospital Emergency Room in College Station. Their condition isn't known at this time.

The alleged shooter was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

No other information was released at this time.
