COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Early in the morning on Monday in College Station, the Krispy Kreme located on Harvey Road caught fire.

First responders were able to put out the blaze, but the store remains closed. The building was fully engulfed in the fire, according to College Station Police, with debris scattered throughout the parking lot and onto the nearby Harvey Road.

The location opened in 2019 and is the only storefront in the Brazos Valley and Waco-Temple-Killeen area.

According to the College Station Fire Department, an employee at Gumby's Pizza, located near the donut shop, heard the sound of an explosion. Shortly after, they discovered that the store was on fire.

Over a dozen units and 36 firefighters responded to the fire, according to CSFD.

The local Fire Marshal's Office, State Fire Marshal's Office, and 25 agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) will work on the scene to determine what started the fire. As of Wednesday evening, the cause is still undetermined.

No employees were working at the shop when the fire broke out, and no injuries were reported.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the scene will continue to be secured, according to CSFD.
