College Station animal control, police looking to identify dog for possible rabies exposure

The incident took place around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday at Edelweiss Gartens Park.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — College Station authorities are looking to find a dog involved in a dog bite incident to rule out possible rabies exposure.

Around 5:20 p.m. at Edelweiss Gartens Park at 500 Hartford Drive near the basketball courts, a dark-colored dog, possibly black and white in color, bit another individual. It is believed the dog is an Australian Shepherd. The dog's owner is described as an "older white male."

Those with information on the incident or those involved are urged to contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600 for case number 2024-002465.
