COLDSPRING, Texas — From morning storms to a tornado on the ground and wind damage during the day to an evening with pea-sized hail, Monday was an active weather day across the Houston area.
The damage left behind was caught on camera by viewers. Below are some of the photos and videos captured and sent in.

A home in Pasadena sustained significant damage. The owner and her daughters said they were grateful that no one was hurt.
"The clouds were solid black and it was like they just set down on us," Tonya McGrew said.
McGrew said she was driving home Monday night when her aunt called and told her not to go there. She said she could hear what sounded like a freight train in the background as two of McGrew's daughters and her aunt took cover in a closet.
Moments later, the storm had passed but it left behind a trail of damage. The family had to deal with a trampoline wedged between their house and their neighbor's house. Their metal carport and awning from the front of their house had sliced through the branches of a tree.
Without homeowner's insurance, McGrew said she's not sure how she'll pay for repairs, but she's grateful that no one was hurt. The family set up a GoFundMe account to help with expenses.
Other parts of the viewing area were also hit by storms. Below are some of the ones that were sent into KHOU 11 and others from our crews out in the field.
This was sent to us from Hai Le and shows a downed tree at Durham and 11th Street in the Heights.
