BRYAN, Texas — The Brazos County Health District has learned residents are receiving spam calls from the department's number, 979-361-4440.
In actuality, any calls made from the district will appear on phones as "unknown" or a different number at 979-775-7400.
If contacted, residents would not be required to provide medical or health information over the phone. If that does occur, the district discourages residents from providing sensitive details for the call may be from a potential spammer.
