BRENHAM, Texas — Boys & Girls Club of Washington County will host Feed the Families every Tuesday for the next several weeks. The club will have 180-family style meals to distribute to families in need.

The Washington County based youth organization received funding from the Boys & Girls in Texas after fundraising with the Boys & Girls in Texas Advisory Committee. Local businesses also have helped match the grant to feed more families.

"To have our organization pivot to doing something we never thought we would be doing, find our niche in the community and help out in this way has been amazing," said Stephanie Wehring, the executive director for the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.

Meal distribution start April 28 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Weekly distributions will continue every Tuesday until May 19.

Distributions will take place at Boys & Girls Club of Washington County located at 1710 E Tom Green St.

Advance registration is required to pick-up a meal. Meals are limited to one meal per family. Meals serve about six people.
