As the Brazos Valley and Bryan-College Station area has grown, there has been an increased need for more parking for residents, which is something that has been voiced as a concern from some residents that hope to enjoy the great things that downtown Bryan offers.
On Thursday, Bryan Mayor Bobby Gutierrez announced that a committee would be formed to address some of the issues that people have raised.
"I do not believe we have a parking problem in downtown Bryan, I believe we have a walking problem in downtown Bryan," Gutierrez said. "Any successful downtown urban area involves some sort of walking to get to your desired location or destination."
While the full list of committee members has not been revealed, it is known that former Mayor Andrew Nelson will Chair the committee.
