Grimes County to get drive-thru COVID-19 testing for one day

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas — Grimes County has announced a one-day drive-thru COVID-19 testing site. On Saturday April 25 from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., the testing site will be open at the Grimes County Fairgrounds.

The drive-thru is not available for just anyone to be tested. The drive-thru is only for people who are experiencing virus-like symptoms. If you are experiencing those symptoms, call in and complete a questionnaire.

Callers must bring identification on the day of sample collections that matches the name that was used to sign up initially. Not all applicants are guaranteed to be tested however, everyone who is experiencing symptoms is encouraged to call and complete the request process. 

Once an application has been accepted, the applicant will be notified of the date and time of the appointment. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the location and must remain in the vehicle during test collection. There is no charge to you for testing.
