BRYAN, Texas — Bryan ISD has the "Essential Eight" that focuses on character education for all levels.
December is the month of philanthropy, and on Wednesday Fannin Elementary students are holding a sock drive for Hope's Locker.
The 3rd-grade bilingual class is calling the drive, "Sock the Cold."
Hope's Locker is coming to Fannin Elementary on Wednesday morning to collect the donation.
The monthly Essential Eight character traits are:
- Kindness (August-September)
- Tolerance (October)
- Gratitude (November)
- Philanthropy (December)
- Work Ethic (January)
- Optimism (February)
- Courage (March)
- Leadership (April-May)
