TEXAS, USA — A College Station ISD middle schooler has earned his place on the national stage after winning the 2024 Central Texas Spelling bee on March 23.
Wellborn Middle School seventh-grader Aarav Sargurunathan participated in the competition at McLennan Community College, and won by correctly spelling the word "requiem." He beat out fellow CSISD student Maggie Moore, who came in second in the event.
