Bryan ISD postpones bond election originally set for May 2

They did not set a future date, and will wait for more direction from the Governor's Office regarding possible future election dates.

BRYAN, Texas — At their special called meeting held virtually on Wednesday, April 1, the Bryan ISD Board of Trustees voted to postpone the May 2 Bond Election. They did not set a future date and will wait for more direction from the Governor's Office regarding possible future election dates.

This decision was made following Governor Abbott's order that all Texas school campuses remain closed until Monday, May 4.

They are all working together to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Brazos County and said that asking their voters to head to the polls at this time is not in their best interest, nor in the best interest of the people who would be needed to work the polling places.
