COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas A&M Police are investigating reported incidents of a suspect attempting to use "date rape drugs" on victims in the Northgate District on March 29.
The incidents were reported to TAMU PD on March 29 and April 1. No identity on who the suspect might be was provided.
Authorities encourage students to keep the following tips in mind:
- Don't drink from a can or bottle that you didn't open yourself
- Avoid drinks or punch bowls that are being passed around in a group setting
- Make sure to use your own cup with a lid and straw
- Don't leave your drink unattended
- Throw out drinks that have an unusual taste or appearance, like unexplained revenue or a salty taste
- Watch out for your friends and have them watch out for you
TAMU PD has also said that no other information will be released.
