HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Huntsville Police say a man has died after a shooting that took place on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of State Highway 30 West.
When investigators arrived at the scene of the shooting, they found a man with several gunshot wounds in the store. He received medical treatment from officers at the scene and later EMS. The man was eventually taken to the hospital to have his injuries treated, but died.
After reviewing security footage and getting statements from those nearby, it was revealed that the man was shot after entering the store and attacking the store attendant.
Police say that the man's name is being withheld from the public so that his family can be notified.
An investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact Sgt. John Thompson at 936-291-5427.
