Man taken into custody for Oct. 21 shots fired report in College Station

Tayshon Franklin-Jones has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Deadly Conduct, according to the College Station Police Department.

A man connected to a shooting investigation that took place on Saturday has been taken into custody, according to an update from the College Station Police Department.

Thanks to a bystander video, Tayshon Franklin-Jones, 21, was identified as the person that was responsible for the shooting. CSPD says he was taken into custody without incident at the Brazos County Courthouse earlier in the afternoon on Monday. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Deadly Conduct.

Authorities say the case is still being investigated, and encourage anyone with further information about the events that took place that day to contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600.
