MADISONVILLE, Texas — Authorities in the Madison County and Madisonville area teamed up to arrest a man now facing charges related to the Possession or Promotion of Child Pornography.
According to Madisonville Police Chief Gilbert, Pranai Patel was arrested on warrants on May 9 in a collaboration effort between the Madisonville Police Department, Madison Consolidated ISD Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
Patel was booked into the county jail and was released on a $50,000 bond, police say.
"The arrest of Patel marks a significant milestone in a comprehensive investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) targeting the dissemination and promotion of illicit material involving minors," said Chief Gilbert in a press release. "As the investigation progresses, the Madisonville Police Department remains dedicated to upholding justice and ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents."
