BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — A Spring man at the center of a late-night pursuit through the Brazos Valley was arrested by multiple law enforcement agencies, according to the Navasota Police Department.
According to police, Kevin Jackson, 51, was driving a car that was reported stolen out of Montgomery County in Navasota when police made an attempt to stop him at the Highway 6 and Highway 105 intersection. However, Jackson instead chose to get onto Highway 6 in an attempt to get away from police.
The pursuit speed reached about 100 mph as both Navasota PD and officers from the Grimes County Sheriff's Department made multiple attempts to stop Jackson. As he entered College Station, Texas DPS, the College Station Police Department, and the Brazos County Sheriff's Office joined the chase.
The car Jackson was driving was spiked multiple times before he turned on University Drive. The car was unable to continue evading authorities, and the chase came to a close on Wellborn Road with Jackson being taken into custody.
Jackson is being charged with tampering with evidence, evading in a motor vehicle, and drug possession. He also had a warrant out for his arrest from Montgomery County for resisting arrest.
