BRYAN, Texas — A Bryan man has been arrested for a stabbing that took place on Sunday.
According to a report from Bryan PD, Jonathan Doyel, 28, was asked to leave the Aggie Kwik Stop convenience store, located at 4401 Old College Rd. in Bryan, by the attendant because he reportedly refused to pay for alcohol. After returning to the convenience store a second time, the attendant refused service to him because of what had previously happened.
The attendant later told police he noticed Doyel slashed one of his tires while walking away, and after he stepped outside the store to look at it, Doyel stabbed him in his back. The attendant fought back while asking bystanders to call 911.
Doyel was later apprehended and the attendant was given medical attention. A report from the hospital later revealed that the attendant had a collapsed lung from the stabbing, among other injuries from the fight.
Doyel later told police he felt "disrespected" by the attendant because he had been denied service earlier that day. When asked by police if he thought being disrespected warranted stabbing someone or slashing their tires, he responded with "either."
The 28-year-old is being held in the Brazos County Jail on $100,000 bond for an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, per jail records.
