ROANS PRAIRIE, Grimes County — Early in the morning on Thursday, Grimes County authorities arrested a man from Willis in Roans Prairie after they were alerted to a storage facility that was being burglarized.
Just after 1:30 a.m., deputies went to the Roans Prairie Self Storage, located north of Anderson, to investigate a burglary. They discovered Jacob Andrew Gaiser, of Willis, getting into his pickup truck to leave.
Among the things Gaiser were illegally in possession of included the items he had taken by sawing off the locks at the crime scene, methamphetamine, and a trailer that had been stolen from Tractor Supply in Huntsville. The trailer still had the price tag attached to it.
Gaiser has been charged with two counts of Burglary of a Building and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 in an amount between 4 grams and 200 grams. All of Gaiser's crimes are State Jail Felony and Second-Degree Felony charges respectively.
