College Station Police arrest 18-year-old for threatening to kill classmates in online messages

The 18-year-old allegedly made threats on Discord, and included the names of the specific students he intended to "violently hurt."

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — An 18-year-old at the International Leadership of Texas Aggieland High School (ILT) has been arrested after threatening to "violently hurt" his classmates online, according to an arrest report from College Station Police.

Wednesday evening, CSPD were notified of the individual that had made threats against his classmates online by ILT staff members. The student had allegedly used the real names of the people he looked to hurt in his post on Discord, an online message service.

When CSPD interviewed the student, he told them he had a rough day, which in turn was why he made the posts online. The student said he wanted "revenge on the injustice" because people were spreading rumors about him, and that he would do "something violent" to them. It was noted in the arrest warrant that the student had access to guns and knives.

Officers took the student into custody and have charged him with making a terroristic threat to place others in fear of serious injury, a third-degree felony. He is being held on an $8,000 bond in the Brazos County Jail.
