Huntsville Police arrest man wanted for Aug. 22 Houston homicide

No bond has been set for 46-year-old Jachob Byrd, who is a suspect in a homicide case involving Eric Brown, who was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

HUNTSVILLE, Texas — Huntsville Police have arrested a man wanted as a suspect in a Aug. 22 Houston homicide.

That day, Eric Brown was found in a home with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators later named Jachob Byrd, 46, as a suspect. A warrant for his arrest was later obtained by authorities on Sept. 11.

On Tuesday, Oct. 24, Huntsville Police learned that Byrd was staying in the area in an apartment, and later served a Capital Murder arrest warrant that was issued out of Harris County. He is currently being held in custody in the Walker County Jail.

No bond has been set on his capital murder charge, according to Walker County Jail records.
