Stolen guns, truck, and illegal substances discovered in Grimes County, two arrested

The sheriff's office says the arrests took place near the Waller County line and the two women that were arrested were taken into custody without incident.

GRIMES COUNTY, Texas — Two women are in custody after multiple law enforcement agencies collaborated to make a big arrest in Grimes County near the Waller County line.

According to the Grimes County Sheriff's Office, on Tuesday, July 30 around 5 p.m., the Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force, Special Agents with the Department of Public Safety, the Waller County Sheriff's Office, and Grimes County Sheriff's Office went to the area to execute multiple search warrants on a property.

After the warrants were executed, the following items were recovered:

  • A 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and a 2014 Ranch King utility trailer that were confirmed stolen
  • 26 grams of methamphetamine
  • An undisclosed amount of marijuana
  • An undisclosed amount of hydrocodone
  • An undisclosed amount of tramadol
  • Suspected ecstasy pills
  • Psychedelic mushrooms
  • Suspected heroin
  • An undisclosed amount of other narcotics
  • Multiple guns, four of which had been reported stolen
    • Some of the guns had illegal suppressors and serial numbers that were indistinguishable
  • Two other cars that were possibly stolen

The two women that were arrested were Brandi Leigh White and Melissa Marie Wagner. 

White was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/1B in an amount greater than four grams and less than 200 grams, a second-degree felony. The sheriff's office says additional charges are pending.

Wagner was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the county and was charged with Failure to Appear/Motion to Adjudicate, Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1/1B in an amount less than one gram, a state jail felony.

The Grimes County Sheriff's Office says an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
