BRAZOS COUNTY, Texas — A College Station man is in custody for beating a child until they had multiple wounds and swollen legs, according to an arrest report from College Station Police.
At the beginning of the month, a CPS worker reported to CSPD that Donta Waddell, 36, had injured a child by allegedly beating them with a belt as discipline. The abuse was detailed by the child in an interview at Scotty's House, where she detailed what Waddell had done, saying that after the beating she was unable to sit down or sleep without feeling pain for multiple days.
According to Brazos County jail records, Waddell is being held on a combined $42,000 bond for two charges--injury to a child and possession of marijuana.
