College Station man wanted for Halloween 2023 Aggravated Robbery taken into custody with assistance of SWAT

Nathanael Aniello, 18, was wanted for robbing an individual attempting to buy shoes from him online in 2023, according to a report from CSPD.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — An 18-year-old was arrested on Thursday with the help of SWAT after officials recognized he was wanted for an Aggravated Robbery that took place on Halloween last year, according to College Station Police.

Around 3 a.m. on Thursday, a Brazos County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted a car that appeared to have been involved in a crash around Woodlake Drive and Victoria Avenue in College Station. The deputy also learned that the car was reported stolen from Bryan PD. Although officials searched where the driver had gone off to, they were unable to locate him.

After more information was gathered, CSPD went to the 2600 block of Wingate Drive, where they believed the suspect was located. Nathanael Michael Aniello was at a home in the area, and authorities looked to CSPD SWAT to assist them since Aniello was wanted for an Aggravated Robbery that took place the year prior due to the nature of the warrant out for his arrest.

According to an arrest report from CSPD, Aniello robbed a person that was looking to buy some Nike shoes from him that he had advertised were for sale online. Instead of offering shoes to the person looking to buy them, Aniello instead pistol whipped the victim and stole multiple hundreds of dollars in cash.

An extensive investigation was done to find Aniello, and he was able to be identified by pictures he had posted on Instagram in a similar outfit to what he had worn during the robbery.

Aniello has been charged with Aggravated Robbery, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in an amount less than one gram in a Drug Free Zone. His bonds total $91,000,. according to Brazos County Jail Records.
