College Station Police: 17-year-old shot dead in apparent "isolated incident"

Police say the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the general public.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A shooting that resulted in the death of a 17-year-old in College Station is being investigated as an "isolated incident" according to the College Station Police Department.

Late Sunday evening, around 11 p.m., officers went to the 400 block of University Oaks Boulevard and George Bush Drive as those who had called 911 reported hearing gunshots. When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. He was given aid until College Station Fire arrived to take him to a local hospital but did not survive.

Police say next of kin has been notified but have not released the identity of the 17-year-old.

CSPD says there is no danger to the general public and is asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward by calling 979-764-3600 for case 2024-005397.
